Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan Jointly Recall 3.4 Million Cars Worldwide Over Airbag Issue


In this day and age, automakers share a number of common components, which is beneficial in terms of pushing down costs and development times, but can also be troublesome when something goes wrong, as is the case of a faulty air bag from Japanese manufacturer Takata Corp., which is used by Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan.

Overall, the four Japanese carmakers and their subsidiaries are recalling 3.4 million vehicles worldwide for the same issue that stems from improperly manufactured propellant wafers that could cause the airbag inflator to rupture and the front passenger airbag to deploy abnormally in the event of a crash.

Infiniti Boss Says Upcoming Compact Car Targets a "34-year old French Lady Called Pascale"


The importance of marketing in the automotive industry has grown to such an extent that it is now involved in the very first stages of development of new cars. This explains why carmakers have begun creating a biography for a single target buyer even before starting to develop a model car.

Take for instance Nissan’s luxury subsidiary Infiniti, which already knows everything about the people who will be buying its upcoming compact model, loosely inspired by the Etherea concept (shown in the pictures) and due to appear in 2015.

Infiniti Unveils the 2014 QX60 Hybrid at the New York Auto Show


Aside from the Q50 sedan, Infiniti also displayed the 2014 QX60 Hybrid at the New York Auto Show. The luxury crossover uses the same hybrid powertrain as the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid on which it is based and will add to Infiniti’s range of hybrid models that include the Q50 and Q70 Hybrid (currently named M Hybrid). The Q50 is the first Infiniti model to bear a Q-badge and therefore, it has to be a solid car in all respects and one which is to herald good things for the brand's future. Now, on the occasion of the NY motor show, the premium Japanese automaker has revealed official pricing information for the premium sedan.
