Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan Jointly Recall 3.4 Million Cars Worldwide Over Airbag Issue

In this day and age, automakers share a number of common components, which is beneficial in terms of pushing down costs and development times, but can also be troublesome when something goes wrong, as is the case of a faulty air bag from Japanese manufacturer Takata Corp., which is used by Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan.

Overall, the four Japanese carmakers and their subsidiaries are recalling 3.4 million vehicles worldwide for the same issue that stems from improperly manufactured propellant wafers that could cause the airbag inflator to rupture and the front passenger airbag to deploy abnormally in the event of a crash.

If you're into cars and video games, you've likely heard of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA for short) franchise where you can steal vehicles (and pay the services of prostitutes, but that’s another story…) and act like a genuine thug on the road, crashing and smashing into anything that comes your way, all in the safety of your home. Spy Shots: 2014 Honda Civic Wagon Takes Production Form

Station wagon models are quite popular in the European market, especially in the compact segment. Up until now, Honda has been absent from this category leaving several other automakers, both local, such as VW with the Golf Estate, and Asian, including Toyota with the new Auris Touring Sports and Hyundai with the i30 Touring, to lure customers into their dealerships.

2014 Honda Odyssey Mildly Revised, Gains…Built-In Vacuum Cleaner

As it has become apparent in recent years, it is extremely difficult for automakers to come up with something new and fresh to woo buyers their way. Honda seems to think it has a pretty good idea with what it's calling the HondaVac – an in-built vacuum cleaner that can be specified on the 2014Odyssey, which has just been revealed ahead of the 2013 New York Auto Show. Honda Confirms Facelifted 2014 Odyssey Minivan for New York Auto Show

The redesigned 2014 Honda Odyssey joins the list of new cars heading to the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) for their world premiere.

Like many other carmakers, the Japanese company won't share much about its new model until the auto show kicks off on March 29 (for the press). In fact, besides an image of the "Odyssey" logo made out of cereal […], the only other piece of information we get about the refreshed people carrier is that it will include "some innovative new features".
